Beaconhouse places great importance on sports in the curriculum, and of course it is now universally accepted as being an integral part of an all-round education. We are intensifying our efforts to further promote sports beyond what is already in place. Physical education is part of the regular timetable for all students up to A levels and the sports played do depend to some extent on the physical environment of the school. However, where the school grounds do not offer enough space, many schools are able to make arrangements for games to be played at local playgrounds

The Beaconhouse School System has, over the past few years, provided Anthropometric and Fitness Test result to students and parents. These  results are an indication of how your is developing in comparison to other students of the same age throughout Asia. They are a guide and only for information purpose. Should you need clarification of the result the please feel free to get in touch with your child’s PE teacher at school, or, through your child’s school get in touch with a Physical Education and sports coordinator. The physical Education and Sports Department at BSS will be very happy to communicate with you.

The test carried out at Beaconhouse School System are the same test that are carried our in School throughout the World. The Anthropometric Test refer to the measurement of the Human and are used to conjunction with Fitness Test to determine how your child is developing Physically. The tests, however, are only a small part in identifying the progress of your child is making in their Physical development. Physical Fitness is defined as the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigour and alertness, without undue fatique, with ample energy to enjoy leisure time oursuits, and to be able to meet unusual situations and unforeseen emergencies. The test carried out at Beaconhouse give a good all-round picture of your child’s fitnesslevel and identify areas where there can be improvement
